The Neve, I was expecting was this spunky, witty, confident girl. Sadly for me, I found her lacking the self worth I expected her to have. She was a hard character for me to relate to. I could not understand her choices, why she thought and/or acted the way she did.. and at times this really frustrated me. I don't agree with, what I took to be her whole "sex solves everything" theory and found it got a bit tiresome of watching her berating herself after for being "that girl."
Rory was a good character. He proved himself to be caring and I loved how he seemed to make sure to show Neve that she was worth a lot in his eyes.
I quite enjoy this authors writing style and I really hope Neve's brother Nate gets a book... there's a line or so in the epilogue I believe.. that makes me think that he just might! I look forward to reading more from her.

Here's the blurb:

Forced to return to Afghanistan before he can fix things between them, Rory waits four agonizing months to prove that he’s not the man Neve thinks he is. But by the time he arrives in New York, she’s already made up her mind. Luckily, Rory never backs down from a challenge, and he’s prepared to put everything on the line for love.
