Rising Storm Season 2: Episodes 1-8

I was lucky enough to be allowed to receive ARC’s for all 8 episodes of this series. Below I have listed my reviews for each book, I tried hard not to give away any spoilers, especially as I am reviewing all eight books in one post. So sorry for the vagueness but personally I just hate finding out TOO much!!!

Episode 1: Against the Wind by Rebecca Zanetti

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥  So this season starts off a month after the last book.  A little bit about most characters are mentioned, which is a good refresher since the last books were a few months back. A couple characters hash out their problems in a physical way… which we all suspected was bound to happen, while other characters I think really need to take a look at their life… The pace of this book was good, it’s a lot of information to get going and revisit.  I was happy to see some of my favourite characters again!

Episode 2: Storm Warning by Larissa Ione

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ½  This book had lots of good parts to it. Some nice romance and some crazy intrigue. I am totally hoping certain people get together!!  You can feel the episodes building and there is going to be something big coming!!!  The writing was well done and pulled me right in.

Episode 3: Brave the Storm by Lisa Mondello

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ This book is dealing more with Chase’s story. As he is a relatively new character I don't feel as invested in him.. that said this book was well written and I like how he was brought in at such a late date to the series, yet they have integrated him well.

Episode 4: Lightning Strikes by Lexi Blake

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ Someone's back in town and things are getting intense! A few little tidbits are being revealed, here and there, which give me hope, and nice little romance is sparking…  This book totally kept me reading and I can't wait to jump into the next one.

Episode 5: Fire and Rain by R.K. Lilley

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ We get to see more of the Salt and Alvarez families in this book. Dakota’s obliviousness is almost unbelievable though perhaps she is starting to wise up.  Joanne is in a bad situation and I hope she comes out of it well.  These books are blending well together.

Episode 6: Quiet Storm by Julie Kenner

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ Glad to see some people are trying to mend some friendships. New relationships are starting to blossom. So proud of one of the characters. ..  that event has be needed for a long time! This is a feel good book…

Episode 7: Blinding Rain by Elisabeth Naughton

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ There were a couple major reconciliations that have begun,  which I think is great. I LOVED the chemistry between Tate and a certain someone…  ooh yeah.. that first kiss was sweet!  Now if only two more things fall into place I will be super stoked! I am on to book 8 with high hopes!!!

Episode 8: Blue Skies by Dee Davis

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ This book is full to the brim with major events. It was emotional and well written. I cheered, I had tears in my eyes.. It was great! So much happens that it feels very much like all the ends have been tied up. I quite enjoyed it and I wonder if there will be a season 3.

Overall the books in this season felt smoother, the transitions and flow from one book to the next were flawless and the writing styles seemed very similar to each other. More so, than in comparison to the first season I thought, which made reading these books back to back easy and enjoyable.  I would recommend this series!
