Lord of Temptation by Lorraine Heath (Audio Edition)

Narrated by: Faye Adele
The Lost Lords of Pembrook #2

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥  OOh did I love this book! Was hooked right from the beginning! Tristan and his “Just one more..” *sigh* Anne was a perfect match for him. She gave as good as she got, and I love how she twisted him up inside. There were a couple highlight worthy parts, and some that made me laugh aloud.  I have the third book on my phone ready to go, as I type this! Cannot wait to start listening. I honestly can’t believe I have let these books sit in my tbr pile this long! What is wrong with me!!

Faye Adele did a wonderful job again, my only comment is that a couple times her breaks between scenes were too short and I was confused for a moment at what was going on. There were only a couple of these and I didn’t take away from the book.

The Blurb:

Three young heirs, imprisoned by an unscrupulous uncle, escaped—to the sea, to the streets, to faraway battle—awaiting the day when they would return to reclaim their birthright.
Once upon a time, he was Lord Tristan Easton—now he is Crimson Jack, a notorious privateer beholden to none, whose only mistress is the sea. But all that will change when exquisite Lady Anne Hayworth hires his protection on a trip into danger and seduction. . .
Desperation brought Anne to the bronzed, blue-eyed buccaneer. But after the Captain demands a kiss as his payment, desire will keep her at his side. She has never known temptation like this—but to protect her heart, she knows she must leave him behind. Yet Tristan cannot easily forget the beauty—and when they meet again in a London ballroom, he vows he won't lose her a second time, as fiery passion reignited takes them into uncharted waters that could lead the second lost lord home. . .

She Tempts the Duke by Lorraine Heath (Audio Edition)

Narrated by Faye Adele
The Lost Lords of Pembrook #1

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ½  The main story starts off in a ballroom, which of course I love, and I haven’t read a “ballroom” historical in a while.. They have all taken place in the country. So because of that it pulled me in right away. The rest of the story was equally as wonderful. I loved all three Pembrook Lords (Sebastian,Tristan and Rafe) and I am already totally looking forward to the other two stories.

Sebastian and Mary, were great together. I love a story that stems from childhood. Sebastian is hard and driven, and Mary is there to bring softness to his life. This doesn’t mean she is a soft character. No, she is bold, and goes after what she wants. She strives to make Sebastian laugh again and I really liked her character. I also enjoyed how ALL the Pembrook brothers care for Mary.

The Narrator Faye Adele did a fantastic job! I would gladly listen to her again.

The Blurb:

Three young heirs, imprisoned by an unscrupulous uncle, escaped—to the sea, to the streets, to faraway battle—awaiting the day when they would return to reclaim their birthright.

Sebastian Easton always vowed he would avenge his stolen youth and title. Now back in London, the rightful Duke of Keswick—returning from battle a wounded, hardened, changed man—cannot forget the brave girl who once rescued him and his brothers from certain death.

Lady Mary Wynne-Jones paid dearly for helping the imprisoned young Lords of Pembrook, and she remembers well the promise she made to Sebastian all those years ago: to meet him once more in the abbey ruins where they shared a bold, forbidden kiss. While Mary is betrothed now to another, a friendship forged with dark secrets cannot be ignored. Unexpected passion soon burns dangerously between them, tempting Sebastian to abandon his quest for retribution to fight for a love that could once again set him free.

Truth or Beard by Penny Reid (Audio Edition)

Winston Brothers #1

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ This book made me smile and laugh out loud often. Jessica is funny with her inner monologue and Duane is a proper southern Gentleman, well he sure tries hard to be that is. The Winston brothers all have a great rapport with each other and I enjoyed watching them interact. Cletus was my favourite, I think.

The fire between Jess and Duane was always present however, sometimes, I felt Jess threw herself at him a bit to hard. Though to give Duane credit, he seemed to have his mind set on what he wanted and how he wanted to obtain it.

Both Narrators did a great job with their roles. Joy's male voice was great and she had enough different sounding female voices that you could differentiate between characters. Chris also did a wonderful job with all the male voices, allowing me to easily tell everyone apart. I will check out the other brothers books.

The Blurb:

Beards, brothers, and bikers! Oh my!

Identical twins Beau and Duane Winston might share the same devastatingly handsome face, but where Beau is outgoing and sociable, Duane is broody and reserved. This is why Jessica James, recent college graduate and perpetual level headed good girl, has been in naïve and unhealthy infatuation with Beau Winston for most of her life. His friendly smiles make her tongue-tied and weak-kneed, and she’s never been able to move beyond her childhood crush. Whereas Duane and Jessica have always been adversaries. She can’t stand him, and she’s pretty sure he can’t stand the sight of her…

But after a case of mistaken identity, Jessica finds herself in a massive confusion kerfuffle. Jessica James has spent her whole life paralyzed by the fantasy of Beau and her assumptions of Duane’s disdain; therefore she’s unprepared for the reality that is Duane’s insatiable interest, as well as his hot hands and hot mouth and hotter looks. Not helping Jessica’s muddled mind and good girl sensibilities, Duane seems to have gotten himself in trouble with the local biker gang, the Iron Order.

Certainly, Beau’s magic spell is broken. Yet when Jessica finds herself drawn to the man who was always her advisory, now more dangerous than ever, how much of her level-head heart is she willing to risk?

It's You (Book 2) by Katy Regnery writing as K.P. Kelley

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ This book starts off just as we left it… emotional and intense and WOW, this author has a wonderful gift for making the reader feel. The longing in this book… oy! It just about slays me. I am on the edge of my seat and I can't stop reading!! It is hands down my favourite feeling she evokes in her stories.

I don't want to give anything away so I will keep it short. After an intense chunk in the beginning (which, I had wondered if the entire book would be like this..due to the first being so) the pace slows to normal and carries on at a decent rhythm, then kicks it right back up for a fantastic ending. The lead characters are great, the secondary characters are great. I really just loved the whole thing.

I would highly recommend these books and hope she has plans to write more.

The Blurb:

The thrilling conclusion of Katy Regnery’s first paranormal romance series!

To some, they’re just words signifying a fairytale ending.
For me, Jack Beauloup, they represent an unyielding desire:
Forever with Darcy Turner, the unexpected love of my life.
A love that has placed her human life in danger.

According to Pack Law, my binding is an abomination that must be severed.
It’s ignited a fiery hatred that I must confront and control.

But what is bound cannot be broken.
I will keep Darcy safe.
Even if it means giving up on my dreams.
Even if it means giving up my life.

It's You (Book 1) by Katy Regnery writing as K.P. Kelley

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ SO FREAKING GOOD!!!! I was so absorbed in this book the day got completely away from me! Soul mates is a super favourite story-line for me and that's what this book makes me feel.. like they are drawn to each other even if they shouldn't be or don't want to be… So intense, passionate, and just plain awesome. Both Darcy and Jack are fully developed characters and easy to like. I long to see them on the page together and when they are it's perfect!

I read somewhere that the author is unsure how her first paranormal will work out…  well, personally I think it's fantastic! I love how she has written half of this book from Darcy’s point of view and the remainder from Jack's. Book 1 ends with a cliffhanger and I can't wait to read book two! Thank goodness they are being released so close together!!

The Blurb:

From New York Times bestselling author Katy Regnery comes her first duo of paranormal romances!
ONCE UPON A TIME... the most beautiful boy in the world kissed me. I’ve never been able to forget. Perhaps it was his jet-black hair, or the changing copper-color of his eyes, the intense way he looked at me… or the fact that he awakened my passion for the first time, at once otherworldly yet heartbreakingly real. But after that kiss, I never saw him again. His name was Jack Beauloup. Jack, my “Beautiful Wolf.” Twenty years passed. He has returned. For me.

The Hooker and the Hermit by L.H. Cosway & Penny Reid (Audio Edition)

Narrated by:
Lucy Rivers & George Allen
Series: Rugby #1

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ½  This book had me laughing during the short audio sample I listened to, which was the reason I purchased it. I was not disappointed! Annie was a witty blogger who wasn’t a fan of going outside of her comfort zone. I really liked how Ronan pushed her out of her boundaries a bit. Ronan in turn was definitely more of the aggressor and barring his constant desire to “tie her up and take her from behind” I really liked his character. I felt their chemistry increase as their relationship grew and I saw growth in both Annie and Ronan, some from their own experiences and some as a result of being together. I loved that he wanted to come to Canada and “get lost in our mountains”. Loved the emails back and forth between the SocialMediaLite and Ronan. They totally had me cracking up! And lastly, I loved that I felt the passion between these two, whether they were bickering or flirting.

There was only one downfall for me… I am not a big fan of the whole bondage/dominance scene. This book wasn’t too bad with it, as there was only like 2 short scenes.. (other than the aforementioned thoughts from Ronan) and he wasn’t out to hurt her so, that was a plus... but there was one part that Ronan was getting Annie all worked up.. then he realizes he had no protection… so instead of just doing other things that do not involve actual sex.. Or even had the author just not wrote that he forgotten protection - leaving the reader to assume whatever they wanted.. Ronan tells Annie he doesn’t have any protection, notices her concern and responds with “What? Don’t you trust me?”  wtf??…. Ah… NO! This is their first time together.. Why would you even ask that! I mean, come on!!! This really bugged me, and made me lose a bit of respect for Ronan.

Other than that though, the book was quite enjoyable, I loved the accents the narrators used. It just added that perfect touch. I haven’t read these authors before but I would be happy to read more from them!

The Blurb:

Book #1 in the USA TODAY BESTSELLING Rugby Series

New York’s Finest
Blogging as *The Socialmedialite*
April 22
LADIES AND GENTS! I have an announcement!

You know that guy I featured on my blog a few months ago? The really, really hot Irish rugby player who plays the position of ‘hooker’ in the RLI (Rugby League International)? The one with the anger management issues, the body of a gladiator and the face of a movie star? The one with the questionable fashion choices leading me to ask whether he was the lovechild of a leprechaun and a hobbit? Ronan Fitzpatrick? Yeah, that guy.

Well, I have a confession to make…

Annie Catrel, social media expert extraordinaire at Davidson & Croft Media and clandestine celebrity blogger, can make anyone shine in the court of public opinion. She is the Socialmedialite, anonymous creator of New York’s Finest and the internet’s darling. Virtual reality is Annie’s forte, but actual reality? Not so much.

Ronan Fitzpatrick, aka the best hooker the world of rugby has seen in decades, despises the media—social or otherwise. The press has spun a web of lies depicting him as rugby’s wild and reckless bad boy. Suspended from his team, Ronan has come to Manhattan to escape the drama, lay low, fly under the radar. Only, Ronan isn’t easy to overlook, and he can’t escape the notice of the Socialmedialite…

When Ronan is sent to Davidson & Croft Media to reshape his public image, he never expects to cross paths with shy but beautiful Annie, nor does he expect his fierce attraction to her. He couldn’t be happier when her boss suggests pairing them together.

What lengths will Annie take to keep her virtual identity concealed? And what happens when the hooker discovers who the hermit really is?

Built For Love by Lori Foster

The Carlisles #3

♥ ♥ ♥ When I purchased this book I actually thought it was a different story I was buying, so sadly that was a disappointment for me. However Lori Foster is a great author so I wasn't to worried.

This novella however didn't stack up to Foster’s norm. I didn't feel much chemistry between the two lead characters, I found Jesse a bit too pushy and assuming, and Tonya couldn't seem to make up her mind at times.  Is the relationship going too fast or not fast enough..  on the flip side both Jesse and Tonya seemed very caring towards Kevin and wanted the best for him.

I felt the story skipped along at a quick pace and felt rushed at times. I would have liked to get to know these characters better and have the plot explored a bit more as it had a good premise.

I am still looking forward to the book of hers I thought I was buying!!! Which I think, comes out in the new year..

The Blurb:

Some loves are built to last in Lori Foster's sizzling new novella
Contractor Jesse Baker knows all about knocking down walls—but chipping away at Tonya Bloom's defenses has been tougher than he expected. The gorgeous blonde has made it clear she doesn't have room in her life for romance…so what is it about her that makes Jesse determined to prove her wrong?
Realtor Tonya is an expert on houses, but building a home—and family—for her newly orphaned nephew, Kevin, is a challenge she never expected. And while Jesse might be a shoulder to lean on, he's also a distraction she can't afford. But with Jesse set on winning her heart, will she realize once and for all that the perfect love doesn't always happen at the perfect time?

Kissing My Killer by Helena Newbury (Audio Edition)

Narrated by:
Christian Fox and Lucy Rivers

♥ ♥ So I picked up this book because I REALLY enjoyed the last book I read by this author (Punching and Kissing) and this one had gotten even better reviews!  Apparently I do not like what everyone else likes. I am not into this much sex in a book. If they weren’t actually doing it, they were thinking it, or planning it or even sometimes it felt like setting up scenes in the book to have the scenario of sex be the only option…  Don’t get me wrong.. Sex in books is good but I didn’t feel the chemistry between Gabriella and Alexi which made their interactions less passionate and more just... sex. Also Gabriella seemed to not know herself and she was aroused by things she didn’t seem to want or like… but then did them anyway.. why? I asked myself.. To please Alexi? Or is she actually wanting to try this stuff..but she’s just hesitant?  That part bothered me. I admit I started skipping through the last few sex scenes.

The plot of the story was decent and I think maybe had I not felt weighed down by all the sex I would have enjoyed the story more. I really dislike giving negative reviews, but I will be a bit more selective when reading the next Newbury.. Cause like I said.. Her other book was really great! This is part of the “Kissing series” but they do not seemed to be linked, at least not to the one I read.

The narrators both did a wonderful job. Probably the only reason I finished the book as quick as I did.

The Blurb:

I know I should be afraid of him. He's huge. Powerful. Cold as ice. But the way he gazes at me makes me weak.... Now we're on the run together. They say he's a monster, but I've glimpsed the person inside. The man sent to kill me is the only one who can save me, and I might be the only one who can save him.

Contains mature themes.

Punching and Kissing by Helena Newbury (Audio Edition)

Narrated by Christian Fox and Lucy Rivers

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ½   I listened to this book all in one go! I saw it advertised on Facebook in one of those suggested posts and thought it sounded interesting. I hadn't heard of this author before but, wow, am I glad I picked it up!!!  Aedan is such a nice guy and I instantly loved him. I Loved how he wanted to do sweet things for Sylvie. How he just fell harder and harder for her and ok yeah.. the narrator's Irish accent helped too!  Sylvie was a good match for Aedan. I liked how she tried to make him smile. She was caring and I truly felt her struggle with having to hurt another person. The only part that was a negative for me (if you can even call it that) was that the final scene before the epilogue, seemed to end a bit too abruptly. I would have liked it to read more about it, and as I don't want to give away any spoilers, I will just leave it at that.

Both Narrators did a wonderful job! As I said, Christian Fox’s voice hooked me in with the short audible sample I listened to, and Lucy Rivers did an equally good job. I would listen to both these narrators again!  I am now off to check out the other books by this author!

The Blurb:

When an illegal underground fight leaves my brother in the hospital, I make a desperate deal to save his life: I volunteer to fight in his place. In thirty days, I've got to walk into the ring, a woman in a man's world-and I've never even thrown a punch. I have one chance to survive. I need a badass who can teach me to be as tough as him. I need Aedan O'Harra, the blue-eyed, Irish beast of a man who everyone fears. But training together means getting close. Every touch of his hands makes it harder to control my feelings. I begin to see the man inside him, the one no one else can. Can I help him break free of the dark secrets that haunt him and can we save each other, or will we both be defeated?Contains mature themes.

The Sexy One by Lauren Blakely (Audio Edition)

Narrated by:
Andi Arndt and Sebastian York

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ This was a quick sweet story. I quite enjoyed both characters, and their love for Simon’s daughter Hayden. There were a few nice chuckles, one huge gasping moment and a conclusion that left me feeling happy.  This was just what I was looking for! This book is definitely a standalone but technically comes after Mister O, which was a story I loved. So it was nice to see those character's peek in a few times.

The narration was wonderful, I mean, with two fantastic narrators, how could it not be!

The Blurb:

From the NYT Bestselling author of MISTER O, comes a sexy new standalone romance…

Let me count the ways why falling into forbidden love is not my wisest move…
1. She works with me every single day.
Did I mention she's gorgeous, sweet, kind and smart?
2. She works in my home.
Playing with my five-year-old daughter. Teaching my little girl. Cooking for my princess. Which means…
3. She's the nanny.
And that makes her completely off-limits…But it doesn’t stop me from wanting her. All of her.

The other nannies in this city don't call him the Sexy One for nothing. My boss, the amazingly wonderful single father to the girl I take care of every day is ridiculously hot, like movie star levels with those arms, and those eyes, and that body. Not to mention, the way he dotes on his little girl melts me all over. But what really makes my knees weak are the times when his gaze lingers on me. In secret. When no one else is around.

I can't risk my job for a chance at something more…can I? But I don’t know how to resist him much longer either…

Better When He's Bad by Jay Crownover (Audio Edition)

Narrated by: Mia Barron, Leland King
Welcome to the Point #1

♥ ♥ ♥ This story was a first for me in a couple ways. It was the first time I had read this author, and the first time reading this type of hero. While I thought the writing was very well done, I came to the conclusion I like my "bad boys" a little more on the good side, than being bad to the point of criminal.

Bax was an interesting character, though at times I couldn't understand why he would make certain choices, he did keep true to his character. Dovie seemed a bit too young for me. If she had been older, perhaps I could have accepted this story a bit easier. Their interactions together were good and I liked how Bax fell for her. The secondary characters were engaging and I can see how people would be drawn into this world.

In the end, this book, with the whole criminal as the lead role, just wasn't my thing. I couldn't fathom why the characters did what they did at points and at others I just shook my head because I didn't see this story ending well… but I know it's a story so I will just let that go! The plot was decent and the story moved at a good pace.

The narration was pretty good, I think Leland King played the role of Bax really well. Mia Barron’s voice for Dovie took some getting used to for me. In the end I had no problems with her. Both narrators were clear spoken.

This book was highly recommended to me and the writing is good. So, if you like your boys badder than bad… then I bet you would enjoy this book!

The Blurb:

Welcome to the Point

There’s a difference between a bad boy and a boy who’s bad . . . meet Shane Baxter.

Sexy, dark, and dangerous, Bax isn’t just from the wrong side of the tracks, he is the wrong side of the tracks. A criminal, a thug, and a brawler, he’s the master of bad choices, until one such choice landed him in prison for five years. Now Bax is out and looking for answers, and he doesn’t care what he has to do or who he has to hurt to get them. But there’s a new player in the game, and she’s much too innocent, much too soft…and standing directly in his way.

Dovie Pryce knows all about living a hard life and the tough choices that come with it. She’s always tried to be good, tried to help others, and tried not to let the darkness pull her down. But the streets are fighting back, things have gone from bad to worse, and the only person who can help her is the scariest, sexiest, most complicated ex-con The Point has ever produced.

Bax terrifies her, but it doesn’t take Dovie long to realize that some boys are just better when they’re bad.

One Snowy Night by Jill Shalvis

Heartbreaker Bay #2.5

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥  I have loved Rory's character since I met her, and I was super stoked to see that this was her story! Rory and Max have great chemistry together and I loved they both just finally jumped in with full honesty and trust. Their banter was witty, Carl the dog was goofy and this book left me wishing it was longer! Can’t wait to read the next book… though sadly I have to, as it’s not out till January!!! At least I will get to start the new year with a great read!

The Blurb:

The Trouble with Mistletoe by Jill Shalvis

Heartbreaker Bay #2

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ So happy to be back with this crew of friends! They are all awesome together. Willa is such a caring woman that had a wonderful way with animals. I loved her sassy wit and how she kept Keane on his toes.

Keane was a strong lead and a great pairing for Willa. I really liked that he seemed to realize what he wanted before Willa did and how he was still pursuing, yet waiting for her at the same time.

I got lots of laughs out of this book, the secondary characters always win me over and I really can't wait to read the upcoming books in this series!!!

The Blurb:

If she has her way ...

Willa Davis is wrangling puppies when Keane Winters stalks into her pet shop with frustration in his chocolate-brown eyes and a pink bedazzled cat carrier in his hand. He needs a kitty sitter, stat. But the last thing Willa needs is to rescue a guy who doesn’t even remember her ...

He’ll get nothing but coal in his stocking.

Saddled with his great-aunt’s Feline from Hell, Keane is desperate to leave her in someone else’s capable hands. But in spite of the fact that he’s sure he’s never seen the drop-dead-gorgeous pet shop owner before, she seems to be mad at him ...

Unless he tempers “naughty” with a special kind of nice ...

Willa can’t deny that Keane’s changed since high school: he’s less arrogant, for one thing—but can she trust him not to break her heart again? It’s time to throw a coin in the fountain, make a Christmas wish—and let the mistletoe do its work ...

False Start by Barbara Valentin (Audio Edition)

Narrated by: Wendy Rich Stetson
Assignment: Romance #1

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ I quite enjoyed this story, and it left me with a warm and fuzzy feeling. I listened to it pretty much all in one go, with exceptions for a few short pauses here and there. I felt the chemistry between Nick and Mattie right away which was great and I enjoyed watching Mattie change her outlook on life and herself for the better. The story was well written, the romance was sweet, there were some amusing bits and the characters felt true and honest. I had the thought after reading it that this could have easily been a true story.  I have not read this author before, but I will check out her back list.

Wendy Rich Stetson delivered her narration well. She had a few different character voices, which made it enjoyable and easy to listen to.

* I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. *

The Blurb:

Mattie Ross is probably the last person who should be doling out good counsel to anyone on anything. Still smarting after being left at the altar two years earlier, she is strapped with debt, has sworn off men, routinely buries herself in her work and despite her well-proportioned figure, remains haunted by childhood taunts of "Fatty Mattie." But to her publisher at the Chicago Gazette, and readers, she is their latest advice columnist, The Plate Spinner, a self-assured working parent to adorable fake children and multi-tasking savant. Enter Nick Derosa, the twin brother of Mattie's cold-footed fiancé who is trying to get back on his feet after his brother steals his identity and implicates him in an illegal investment scheme. But thanks to Nick's legendary running career, the publisher of the Chicago Gazette proposes a wager: If Nick can train an out-of-shape working parent in time to compete in the Chicago Marathon, he will contribute enough to help Nick launch his own non-profit running club for kids. Suddenly "Fatty" Mattie and Nick are thrust together as the most unlikely of pairs and under a deadline to put their trust issues aside and avoid another false start in their lives.

"Be prepared to fall in love! I was cheering for Mattie every step of the way...and swooning over Nick!" ~ Gemma Halliday, New York Times bestselling author

Gone by Elisabeth Naughton

Series:Deadly Secrets #2

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ “OMG!!! This book is so freaking good, I can't read fast enough!”  At one point this statement kept circling my mind, as I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next! All the characters were great! I really enjoyed the love between Alec and Raegan. These two had some serious life-changing issues to deal with and to see it prevail through all of that was wonderful.

I quite enjoyed the first book in this series, however I loved this one more! The romance was heartfelt, the suspense well written and the conclusion was great.  Naughton still stands as a favourite author of mine!

* I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review *

The Blurb:

Three years ago, Alec and Raegan McClane lived every parent’s worst nightmare: their one-year-old daughter, Emma, was abducted from a park when Alec turned his back for just a moment. Emma was never found, and presumed dead. The crushing trauma, plus Alec’s unbearable guilt, ended the couple’s marriage.

J.C. and the Bijoux Jolis by Katy Regnery

Series: Blueberry Lane 3, The Rousseaus #3

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ½ Katy Regnery’s writing is just wonderful. She brings out emotions and truly makes you feel how the characters are feeling. I found it refreshing how “grownup” J.C. acted. Ready to man up, apologize and do the right thing. I loved watching him process his feelings and come to terms with the fact that he did want more in life. I always enjoy when the womanizer finds the one to make him change his ways… but this time, I actual felt that his thoughts and emotions reflected a more honest dialogue about how it came about.

Libitz was a strong, caring, smart, down-to-earth woman, and a perfect match for Jean-Christian. They had great banter, they fought dirty at times, which was kinda fun to watch, and even more so when they started falling for each other. I really enjoyed this story!

This is book 3 in The Rousseaus - Blueberry Lane 3 series and even though I have not read the books that precede this one (other than one way back in the Blueberry Lane 1 series) I feel this book can easily stand on its own. I look forward to reading all the other books in Regnery's back list!

*I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review*

The first two books in the Rousseaus series are:
Jonquils for Jax, The Rousseaus #1
Marry Me Mad, The Rousseaus #2

The Blurb:

Did you fall in love with The English Brothers? Were you hot for the Winslows? Katy Regnery's New York Times bestselling Blueberry Lane series continues with The Rousseau siblings in 2016!

If the best man and maid of honor are both single, it’s practically an unwritten rule that they should pork.

…so begins a rocky acquaintance between Jean-Christian “J.C.” Rousseau and Libitz Feingold at the wedding of J.C.’s brother and Lib’s best friend. While manslut best man J.C. is surprised when maid of honor Libitz soundly spurns his advances, his curiosity is piqued. The girl he couldn’t have becomes the only one he wants.

So, when he finds a seventy-year-old portrait in the attic of his sister’s mansion that bears an uncanny resemblance to the prickly gallery owner, he enlists her help in solving a mystery seven decades in the making. Traveling from Philadelphia to New York to Marseille, a couple who started off as enemies will discover that even cynics can find true love…and mortal man is no match for destiny.
