Stolen Fury by Elisabeth Naughton

★★★★ 1/2 Naughton can sure weave a great story. Her details and discriptions make the scene unfold right around you. Both characters were strong  and worked well together. They had great chemistry, and the action and suspense were just an  added bonus.

I deducted half a star because, I thought the uncertainty of their love for each other went on a bit too long.  I have had this book in my tbr pile for a while.. and I am glad I finally read it. I have the others in the series.. I plan on reading them too! :)

Here's the blurb:

To unearth a centuries-old secret, an archaeologist must team up with the rakish thief who’s stolen both an ancient relic and her heart…

Oh, is he handsome. And charming. And sexy as all get out. Dr. Lisa Maxwell isn’t the type to go home with a guy she barely knows. But, hey, this is Italy and the red-blooded Rafe Sullivan seems much more enticing than cataloging a bunch of dusty artifacts.

After being fully seduced, Lisa wakes to an empty bed and, worse yet, an empty safe. She’s staked her career as an archaeologist on collecting the three Furies, a priceless set of ancient Greek reliefs. Now the one she had is gone. But Lisa won’t just get mad. She’ll get even.

She tracks Rafe to Florida, and finds the sparks between them blaze hotter than the Miami sun. He may still have her relic, but he’ll never find all three without her. And they’re not the only ones on the hunt. To beat the other treasure seekers, they’ll have to partner up—because suddenly Lisa and Rafe are in a race just to stay alive.

Summer Temptation by Wendy S. Marcus

★★★★ 1/2  This is a very sweet short story. Nick is an honourable guy and I loved how he was instantly focused on Leigh. Leigh was a girl in need of a summer of fun, if I'd ever seen one. Their first meeting has gone into my "best of" pile! I really enjoyed how the author wrote in the first person for both of the lead characters. I feel it made all the difference and brought me closer to them.  I will keep my eye out for more from this author.

This book is part two of the "Hot in the Hampton" series. I enjoyed Leigh's friends in this book and may just read their stories as well.

Meet Nick Kenzy...

After two years of working my ass off as a Wall Street analyst, I’m out of a job, with no warning, no thank you, and no severance. Am I angry? You’re damn right I am. So when I head to the Hamptons for the weekend to spend time with my granddad, I plan to regroup and relax before I return to the city to hit the job search hard. I don’t need any distractions. How Forever Feels by Laura Drewry

★★★★ This is the fourth and last book in the fantastic Friends First series. I am going to miss these characters. This author has a wonderful sense of humour. I laughed out loud, smiled a lot, and of course let out some good sighs every now and then.  Jack was great. Sweet, blushing, and the perfect guy for Maya.  I loved all the quotes from the tv show  "Friends" at the beginning of each chapter. They brought a smile to my face everytime.

I would recommend this series to anyone who loves a feel good romance. I can't wait to read her new series. The first book is called "Off the Hook". If it is anything like this series. It will be another favourite of mine!

** I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review **

This book will be released on Oct 13, 2015

To Purcase/Pre-order:

Here's the blurb:

From USA Today bestselling author Laura Drewry comes a warm and witty new Friends First novel—perfect for readers of Jill Shalvis and Susan Mallery. How Forever Feels is a sweet tale about the one that got away . . . and the one that came back.

Maya McKay’s heart is as big as Jack Rhodes’s shoulders are broad. Their chemistry is out of control, but it could never work between them because Jack is more than just best friends with her cheating ex-husband—they’re like brothers. Maya, the sensitive, practical florist, has given up on love and is ready to settle for like. But now that Jack’s around again, he’s stirring up old feelings—and turning Maya’s fantasies into irresistible reality.

Jack blew his chance with Maya years ago when he stepped aside for his best friend, Will, and he’s still kicking himself about it. Maya was promised forever once before, and she got burned. But when Jack realizes that second chances aren’t going to fall out of the sky, he seizes the moment—and the woman he’s always loved—to show her how forever truly feels.

What to do with a Duke by Sally MacKenzie

★★★★ 1/2   I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I loved the premise of a confirmed spinster and a Duke that actually longs for a family instead of the other way around.  The characters inner monologue had me cracking up often and I really enjoyed the authors writing style.

My only disagreement with this book is that she leaves the ending a bit open for me, stating I must read the next book to find out about the curse...  I had planned to read it anyway but I like my "Happily Ever After" in books a bit more secured at the end.

** I was given this book in exchange for an honest review **

To Puchase:

Here's the blurb:

Welcome to the charming, fatefully named village of Loves Bridge, where a woman destined for spinsterhood can live a life of her own choosing—or fall unexpectedly, madly in love…

Miss Isabelle Catherine Hutting would rather be lounging in the library than circling the ballroom in search of a husband any day. So when Cat hears that the town’s infamous Spinster House is open for a new resident, she jumps at the chance to put all this marriage business behind her. But first she must make arrangements with her prospective landlord, Marcus, the Duke of Hart—the most handsome man she’s ever seen, and the only man who’s ever impressed her in the least…

With her wit, independent spirit, and not least of all her beauty, Marcus can’t help but be stirred by Cat. It’s terribly unfortunate he’s not looking to marry, given the centuries-old curse that left his family with the Spinster House to begin with. No duke shall live to see his heir’s birth. But is there a chance the curse could be broken—in true fairy-tale fashion—by an act of true love? The race to Happily Ever After is about to begin…

Deceived by a Duke by Erin Knightley

★★★ The third book in the All's Fair In Love series was good. I liked that Phillip and Libby got to know each other without all the title pretense. I wish this book was longer as it left me with some unanswered questions. I think, had it been a full length story they would have been answered and only added to the depth of the book. For a quick read, this novella is an enjoyable addition to the series.

Here's the blurb:

As the niece of an earl, Elizabeth Abbington knows all about the stifling expectations and responsibilities placed upon peers of the realm. She has no desire to marry into that kind of life. Instead, she dreams of traveling abroad where she can put her talent for languages to good use. When her dear friend invites her on a trip to Spain, Libby jumps at the chance to begin her adventure.

After his younger brother loses a small fortune on the turn of a card, Philip Dain, Duke of Gillingham decides an intervention is in order. Determined to keep Nigel from falling into the lifestyle that ultimately destroyed their father, Philip offers a deal: if his brother can live in anonymity for a month with him in Spain, Philip will pay his debts outright. By stripping them of the privileged status they’ve always known and the negative influence of Nigel’s friends, Philip hopes the trip will help turn his brother around.

What Philip didn’t expect is how much he would relish the freedom of shedding his title, if only for a while. When his lack of understanding of the language becomes an issue, Libby comes to his aid. As she falls into the role of their informal interpreter, Libby sees the real him, which makes the growing attraction between them all the more heady. But as love blossoms under the Spanish sun, so too does his uncertainty of what will happen when she discovers she’s been . . . Deceived by a Duke

Scandalized by a Scoundrel by Erin Knightley

★★★★ 1/2 The second installment of the All's fair in love series was quite enjoyable. The fun banter between characters was a delight and I loved that the lead ladies in both books so far, are strong self sufficient women, but still have a bit of quirkiness to them.

I am looking forward to the third book... the only downside, is that these books are short! With these plots and characters, I feel they could have easily been full length books.

Here's the blurb:

In all his years in the army, Lord Gabriel Winters never once described his opponent as beautiful. But when he finds himself staring down the barrel of Miss Amelia Watson’s pistol, it’s the only word that comes to mind. Despite her clear distrust of him—and not to mention his own determination to avoid English women at all costs—Gabriel is more than intrigued by his friend’s bold neighbor.

Amelia has plenty of reasons to distrust strangers, and the broad-shouldered, devilishly handsome viscount deserves no exception. But when he challenges her to lay down her weapon and learn to fight in a new way, she finds herself capitulating. He may be a scoundrel, but he’s also the first person in years to look at her without the blasted pity she hates so much.

Though the lessons start out innocently enough, the heady pull of attraction soon gets in the way. They’re as incompatible as water and gunpowder, so why is she suddenly looking forward to the thought of being . . . Scandalized by a Scoundrel?

Ruined by a Rake by Erin Knightley

★★★★★ This was exactly what I was looking for. A perfect quick story that had all the good stuff: Witty repartee, passion, and humour. I loved it from the first scene!! Which, by the way, I have highlighted on my kindle so I can read it anytime I want to!!!

This is the first book I have read by this author and I can't wait to read more! I have already purchased the other two books in this set, and I saw today that the 4th is out as well!! I best go snatch that one up!

Here's the blurb:

It started with a kiss.

When nine-year-old Eleanor Abbington first met her uncle’s new stepson, Nicolas Norton, the boy rudely stole a kiss from her that set the tone for their contentious and competitive relationship. It wasn’t until years later when Nick introduced her to fencing that they finally had a proper outlet for their frequent arguments.

Having just emerged from mourning following her mother’s death, Eleanor is exactly where she wishes to be at the age of four-and-twenty: an on-the-shelf spinster and unofficial companion to her aunt. Unfortunately, her ambitious uncle has other plans for her future. On the eve of his house party, he lays down his ultimatum: either Eleanor marries the man of his choosing, or he'll force her seventeen-year-old sister to do so instead.

When Nick unexpectedly arrives on their doorstep after a two year absence, Eleanor is in no mood for their normal banter. Seeming to know exactly what she needs, Nick challenges her to pick up the foil once more. During their pre-dawn matches, he shows her just how strong she can be . . . and exactly how much he’s changed since leaving. But when her old adversary becomes her only ally, she may very well find herself . . . Ruined by a Rake

Fatal Pursuit by Elisabeth Naughton

★★★★ Wow! Passion, action, longing....this book had it all! Ms .Naughton's writing is amazing! If I could give it more than 5 stars I would!

I have been waiting for Jake and Marley's story from the very first Aegis Security novella..and all that waiting has definitely paid off.

This is a fantastic addition to a great series. If you have never read one of her books, I strongly urge you to change that!

Where to Purchase:
Amazon US , Amazon CA ,

Then Jake shows up in Colombia to help her, leaving Marley annoyed…and more than a little distracted by her alarmingly handsome boss.

As things between Marley and Jake heat up in the wilderness, they discover their rescue mission is filled with treachery. Now the domineering Jake has to rely on Marley for survival. But can she depend on him when their mission takes a shocking and deadly turn?

Fatal Pursuit is the pulse-pounding third book in Elisabeth Naughton’s scorching Aegis series.
